In Your Face!
Our new and upcoming show will be held at the Boise Contemporary Theater. Watch for new works from Julie Petrey, Stephanie Hope, Savannah Goode, Katie Ponozzo, Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill and Artistic Director Kelli Brown.
“This show promises to be one our most unique productions.” says Artistic Director, Kelli Brown. “Not only have we brought in nationally recognized choreographer, Julie Petry, but we have works that range from abstract post-modernism to Alice in Wonderland meets Steampunk”. This show will highlight new OCD choreographer Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill who has used her experiences as a Gaga trained dancer to create a contemplative piece. Returning again for her unique narrative style choreography is Katie Ponozzo. Her work used the original Alice in Wonderland storyline, mixed it into a love story and used the talents of costume designer Angela Rockefeller Byrson to create an fairy tale with a twist. Brown will present a new work “In Your Face”. This work will ask audience members to participate in designing the dance from postings they place on Facebook during the show.
