FEBRUARY 24 AND 25 AT BOISE CONTEMPORARY THEATER WWW.BROWNPAPERTICKETS.COM
What do you get when you mix 14 dancers and over 40 balls? “Ball Change!”
Dancer and company choreographer Katie Ponozzo premiers her new work guaranteed to leaving you feeling up! Other new works include Journey by Teresa Vaughan about her experience being a dancer in all periods of life. Vaughan, who is currently 60 and still dancing, had this to say about her piece: “My inspiration really came from the joy that dancing has given me since I was a child. I started as a dancer...it evolved into teaching, but I never lost that pure joy of just dancing--that hard-to-explain feeling that perhaps only dancers understand. Now, I have come full circle, and I have the opportunity to express it creatively for an audience.” Off Center will be presenting an additional two new works, both by artistic director Kelli Brown. The first is Reach a complex dance piece about relationships and body. The second a new dance film and Brown’s third entitled Dune, filmed late this last year in Bruneau. Finally, guest performer Molly Beardmore-Heller will be performing an intimate and complex solo.
